Announcing a new collection from the University of Arizona Press, The Sonoran Desert: A Literary Field Guide! Each contributing poet wrote about a species of flora or fauna in Tucson’s Saguaro National Park. My poem is about the pinacate beetle, or stink bug. All poems are illustrated with some scientific facts about the species. My beetle is also illustrated in miniature on title page—go, stinky!
I’ll be reading this poem at the Tucson Festival of Books on Saturday, March 12, at 2:30, and signing copies of this and the anthology with my Pushcart-nominated story in it after my panel on Working with an Editor (4:00-5:00). I’ll also be reading the poem at the AWP conference in LA this April.
