The latest issue of Spiral Orb: An Experiment in Permaculture Poetics is dedicated to the Poetic Inventory of Saguaro National Park, in which more than a hundred poets wrote poems celebrating a species from the Sonoran Desert. My poem on the pinacate beetle, or stink bug, is included in the issue.
Edited by Eric Magrane, Spiral Orb experiments with the rich possibilities of publishing in a digital environment. Rather than a table of contents, the home page consists of a composite poem made using one line from each poem within the issue. Each inner poem also contains one or two links to others. There are therefore two ways to navigate Spiral Orb: through the composite poem, or following the inner threads that link this web within the Web.
