Uncanny Vale

My contribution to the Poetic Inventory of Saguaro National Park Project, in which editor and naturalist Eric Magrane collected poems from local writers about desert fauna and flora, in conjunction with the National Geographic Bioblitz, an event celebrating biodiversity at Saguaro National Park. Magrane’s journal, Spiral Orb, published this piece in 2012. It will be republished in a forthcoming anthology A Literary Field Guide to the Sonoran Desert (University of Arizona Press), coedited by Eric Magrane and Christopher Cokinos.
